Is 10.5 Egypt Pounds per 1 GBP currently a good exchange rate? |
Travel Info I'm going to Egypt (Sharm) for 2 weeks from July 9. I've been looking round online and found exchange rates ranging from 9-10 per 1GBP. The only relatively high rate is 10.52 with Thomson. Is this a high exchange rate and is it likely to increase or decrease between now and July 9? Basically, I'm asking, should I buy now or wait? Travel Tips its been basically that for ages now. it was about that when i went last year. what you could do is exchange some money up here then do the rest out in egypt as you'll get a better rate when out there than over here. but the exchange rate is a good one. plus its cheap out there anyway so your money goes a long way Others Egyptian Pounds have hovered around the 11 mark for ages now. You could ask for a higher rate from Thompson - I ALWAYS bargain for more money. Push your luck! The rate is not too bad. Lots of business there! You should defiantely wait till u go to Sharm and exchange yr GBP there, u will get a better rate here. Do not however, try to exchange yr money in the hotel but rather at Thomas Cook in Sharm. ask.com says 11.3 shop around! http://www.xe.com/ucc/ wait till you get here, 11.2le for 1 拢 already you are being ripped off and you have not got here yet, you will almost certainly get a higher rate when you get there than you will here. right now the rate is 11.24, thats what you would get in egypt if you gave your pounds into a local bank and no commision in most egyptian banks. whether it will go up or down between now and then who knows but it has not be lower than 11 for quite some time. but look around in sharm some banks take commision there some dont. ask! |
