Akhenaton decreed all sort of weird laws, mostly to enrich himself. I thought that he was not an overly educated person and felt little for Egyptian culture, arts and science. King Tut gathered all the brains he could and restored pride in the culture of the people. I think so because it was the "Christian Exodus pharaon". In his age Moises takes the Christians over the Red Sea. Actually, someones told that he was the step brother of Moises. I think he was the most important pharaon because he influences the Christians history, and I think he influences it assertive. But, I think Amenhotep IV (also know as Akhenaton) is one of the greatest pharaons in the Ancient Egypt. He complitely changed the religion. He destroys the ancient egyptians Gods and he proclaim himself as The sun of Aton. He proclaim Aton the only God of Egypt. Amon was the God of Sun, replacing Ra. Akhenaton build temples to Aton. He made a religion revolution. The ancient priests ware angry. Akhenaton proclaim the first monotheism religion in history. People still acclaim the old Gods. People hates Akhenaton and his whife, Nefertiti. They move the impire's capital at Tebs. After Akhenaton's death people of Egypt replace Aton with the old Gods. Certainly, Akhenaton and Ramses II were the most important pharaons in the Egypt history. |
