Currency in Egypt?

We are going to Marsa Alam in 2 weeks to stay at quite a remote hotel. Although its all inclusive we still want to take about 拢1000 for spends (2 weeks with 2 kids!). What is best to take??? UK sterling travellers cheques, US dollar travellers cheques or Egyptian travellers cheques ?? We are taking some Egyptian cash as we have to get a taxi from airport to hotel (booked hotel & flights seperate and saved 拢700!!)

i have been to egypt many times and as i am assuming your English as you mentioned taking Stirling, take Stirling travellers checks. do not change your money to dollars you will lose out by having to change twice take mostly English and very little Egyptian it costs more to buy here. and dont take it back with you if you can avoid it you will lose out again.
