Standard of Living in Cairo and Alexandria? |
Travel Info can anyone give me a detailed analysis of live in Cairo and live in Alexandria, i am visiting egypt this summer and i am a bit confused either to choose Cairo or Alexandria. Travel Tips depeneds on what you want to see Alexandria is a nicer place, less crowded, prettier, more quaint... so you get a btter idea of "Life in Egypt" whereas Cairo is one of the craziest dirtiest overpopulated and thrid world cities I have ever seen. BUT they have some of the coolest things to see if you are looking to ancient Eqypt artifacts and culture... the museum of Ancient Eqypt in Chairo is worth the trip alone, old Babylon in Chairo takes you back 2000 years to the time when King Herold was looking to kill Jesus and the jews ran the Egypt to escape, the pyramids that are all half day or day trips outside of Cairo are within the las remaining wonders of the world and you will not find any of this in Alexandria so if you want a calmer adventure to relax and eat some food and see belly dancing go to Alexandria if you want to see the wonders of the world and be amazed and stymied by the incredible history of the human race on our planet starting from the place where human culture and civilization came into being... Cairo However... if you get all the way to Egypt and are imnterested in the ruins you HAVE to make time to at least go up the nile to Luxor as that is the site of the ancietn civilation and is aweinspiring but you will need at least three days to do this Others Well, there is no big different between Cairo & Alex at standerd living as they both big cities but may be Alex more expensive then cairo because many vistors go there from & outside Egypt at summer. But if you will come to Egypt this summer I recomended to try to visit both as they have diffrent places you can visit & both cities worth visiting. Enjoy your journey. forget cairo..very croweded polluted..17 million population..u can imagine...alex is far better regarding quality of life and weather... It depends. Housing: Alexandria is more expensive Food, Go outs, Transportation: Cairo is more expensive. And of course it all depends on the district you are living in here or there. the standard of living you are wishing for. i am in Alexandria and i love it. i went to Cairo all it had was dirty streets and poor life with hobos. go to Alexandria it is more class. |
