Tourists and visitors what do you like to have? |
Travel Info What do you like to have on line in one website to make it easy for you to book hotels and tours to Egypt. (exclude flights) Please be specific and don't give me general answers. like 'everything about Egypt' or 'everything' It's a serious question and It can be a website for business not for fun or as a government free service. You may suggest any suggestion but tell me how it add to the profit making. One more thing .... your ideas may be used any time. If you like to keep all rights send me or keep it. Travel Tips i will be going to egypt in 2 weeks and ive been doing alot of research online mostley looking for an apartment to rent, fun places to got to? car rentals things like that but i am a bit warey as i dont know if its safe online so showing to people u are genuine such as a certifecate or anything like that may encourage people to deal with you also prices are very imortant even with tours give reasonalble prices. have a positive attitude and try to show the fun side of egypt! also alot of people who go to egypt dont want to go through all the hassle in searching for touring companys places to eat places to go etc tec.. so u could provide them with a tour guide/magazine with every thing they need and were to find them and sell it i guess? Others Actually, since I am not so much into tourist things, I would prefer a site that has information about everyday life in Egypt. Like for example a website directed towards people who may be staying in Egypt for a long period of time (several months) or those who may be moving there. I have a hard time finding out some things sometimes and even the expatriate sites are not very helpful. All I can find actually are sites for tours or hotels. So what I propose is a "relocation website". Information should be about real estate agencies (there are more than Caldwell Banker and ERA in Egypt but these never get mentioned), pharmacies, doctors, hospitals etc. You could start the website and change it occasionally. Businesses that wish to be listed could "rent" a space for a monthly fee. But it should also have information of other things, like visas and driver's licenses, etc. Anyway, this is my idea because I know how hard it is to find out things. I learn from talking to people, but not everyone can do this. I wish the information can be brought together all in one place. Sorry it is not a good answer to your question with regards to what your plans are... i need hotel room prices both for single and double rooms (i personally usually need both) a variety of hotels to include different prices and stars and the price for the dates i want, when ever that may be. i need to know whats on offer at that hotel and what other tourists have to say about the hotel both good and bad. General information about Egypt, e.g. prices, places to visit other than sites. restaurant recommendations, regularly updated as these things change so often, advice on prices trying to understand what to pay for a taxi is very difficult for a tourist because no one will give a genuine price. Package prices to visit the sites. many tourists prefer to visit in their own time but are afraid to arrange things on their own, because they are afraid of being cheated or hassled. Women on their own may appreciate women guides etc. if you can give a set price for a tour offering taxi's with or with out guides, especially in luxor i think many would take you up on it . the same with things like fellucca rides. A typical tourist just wants a fair price and does not want to be hassled all the time or feel that they have been cheated. i dont want any rights i have been telling my friends for years to try offering fixed prices, but they say that if they do that then someone will just undercut them. so i give up. i agree with ministry its information we need, from the basic for the first timer to moredetailed for the regular visitor like myself. A collection of travel deals, something similar to sherman's travel. Also, a listing of last minute specials of hotels w/ extra room for anticipated dates +/adventures. This is a rather depressing idea, but showing toursits who are interested in what life is like for those who aren't living in tourist areas may attract some. An example that worked in New Orleans tours the messed up areas of N.O. and Louisiana + spurs some action...the environmentalists would probably be interested in seeing farming areas since I've heard that pesticide use is frighteningly unregulated producing bizarre vegetables and increasing cancer rates. Perhaps one of those tourists would help out w/ that problem since it seems that those in charge of your country aren't doing much about environmental issues. Italy has work on farm type tourist options for those interested in agriculture, so that might be a point of interest for some as well. Perhaps those interested in cuisine would love to be set up w/ a chef + kitchen to learn egyptian recipes...These are all just things I'm interested in doing + egypt may have them already. But the ppl. I know in egypt are unable to point me in the right direction. Also, I love riding motorcycles and rarely see women ride. A tourist bike/vespa riding group in a safe place like hurghada might be an idea...I know I'd probably die driving in cairo since crossing the street is difficult to me. Am impressed w/ the crossing skills ppl. have! Also, something similar to habitat for humanity in building homes for those who need it/fixing up homes might interest some tourists + be a win-win situation for both egypt and whomever is involved. personal interest |
