hey smokey,actually i'm from ismailia
the nice things about ismailia are:
it's very quiet comparing to cairo or alexandria and relatively cheap..it has nice beaches....and many green areas....
it has many nice sea food restaurents....
there's a 4 star hotel," mercure"..it's nice and cheap and have a very good view of the lake....and very clean water...

overall ismailia is the best way if you want to spend a nice quiet and unexpensive weekend

I haven't been to ismailia but I heard about it
it's good ,especially the sea
I used to go when i was little, the only hotel i know ther is ETAP, was very good, otherwise i dont think it has a lot of attractions.
I have been there. It is a nice city to visit, it is different from other cities in Egypt. There are not many things to do there except to enjoy the view, the Suez canal, the weather and the nice houses with gardens. It is nice for a day.
I heard about it.
the most important thing when you visit ismailia is the RED

try to dress in red ..
also try to communicate with ppl .. they are kind
always tell them that you love football and your favorite team is "Elahly"
there are no attractions but the sea is good so as the climate
