Travel Info The Holocaust , do u think it should be taught at our Arab schools , and why ? i will answer my own Q , yes our kids should know the history , Different people passed through different hard times and all was mentioned in the 3 Holy Books . what do u think Travel Tips At the age of 15 in the late 60's I was taken to visit a concentration camp in Germany called Dachau, in the front hall of the entrance there were huge pillars each with the name of a country on it, they represented all the different nationalities that had been murdered in the camp. There were many, more than I could count. I then went through the camp and saw all the things you will have seen on TV, pics artefacts etc. At the back of the camp there were the remains of the gas chambers and there was a man sitting on some steps. He started to talk to me. He was German and Christian and he had been a prisoner in the camp because of his Christen beliefs. He told me of the terrible things that had happened there and he told me of those who had been taken to the gas chambers. He told me that after the war they had blown up the buildings of the gas chambers and the ovens and in the base of the ovens beneath the burners there was fat which had dripped down from the corpses that had been burnt there, that it was centimetres thick. The visit had more effect on my young life than any other incident until the birth of my first child; it showed me that man could be cruellest and most malevolent and evil thing. It showed me that race colour or creed was not important and it showed me that this should never happen again. Sadly it has happened since in Yugoslavia, in several countries in Africa, in Iraq, in Cambodia and many other places. I am vehemently against any kind of war and killing, (and yes that includes Iraq) I do not believe in the death penalty and I don鈥檛 care what the reason. But genocide is the worse than war, it is the systematic destruction of a complete race. I think all children should be taught about the holocaust and should look at other examples in history too, and it should be remembered that while the Jews took the brunt of the Second World War holocaust, all nationalities were involved. There are few things that make me really angry but this is certainly one of them. Wiseheart you who pride yourself on your understanding of others, you disappoint me. There is a difference between genocide and war. You may be interested to know that yesterday I was reading a well known English newspaper, they have coined a new word in our papers, it is Islamonazis, it was the first time I had seen this word but my friend who reads this paper regularly tells me it鈥檚 now common. How sad is that! Others To look at the Holocaust is a good thing, but why is it that only the Holocaust of the Jews is ever mentioned? We should look at all the injustices done to all peoples and nations if this education is to mean anything at all. I think that it is a good idea to make sure our children learn about man's inhumaity against man.There have been too many instances were the power group have fallen into what can only be seen a inhuman barbaric practices, including the horror of the Holocaust. The Killing Field of the Pol Pot regime and the atrocities that took place under the dictatorship 's of Saddam Hussain, Stalin and Idi Amin and Marcos and too many others should also be used as an example of what can happen when the control of a country falls into the wrong hands. It is said that we should learn through history how not to repeat our mistakes. I think that this applies to civilization and ensuring it doesn't ever happen again begins with the individual. i don't mind too. But if we are going to tell our kids about the holocaust, then it must be mentioned in context of history generlly at the time of WW2. not only jews suffered holocaust, there are lotsa and lots of examples that must be mentioned too to describe the savage and unhumanity of wars. Besides, history, our history to be precise, has LOTS of things that has to be re-explored and taught to our kids so that people would know Egypt and would know the truth. when we do that, then may be, just may be, we ll have a generation who will know the value of their country and its real potentials than the loosers who runs the country these days. I have done alot of reading about the Holocaust lately. I read two books that were written by survivors...I think it is important to be taught in schools. There are still some in the world who believe it never happened. The truth should be known about all of history and also what is currently going on in the world - similar things are going on in concentration camps in North Korea even today. Regardless of the details of the Holocaust and the numbers, it's easy to know about it anywhere and anytime because Zionists are using it always. I think it shouldn't be taught to our kids unless the Apartheid state of Israel and Palestinian Holocaust is taught in the Zionists schools. The names of Nazism, Zionism, Hitler, Ariel Sharon, Saddam Hussein, Ossama Ben-laden, George W. Bush should all be mentioned also in the same chapter of the same book. I suggest they name of the chapter "criminals against humanity". To be fair forget about where they came from or their religions and just remember they all caused how many human lives deaths. yes but without lies bec the number which the Jews say is wrong and also the crimes Jewish have done to Palestinians ,Egyptians Syrian Lebanese , need to be tough also |
