Should i go to Florence? Teaching English? |
Travel Info I'm thinking of going to florence to do an eight week course learning the language and getting qualified to teach english as a foreign language over there. What do you reckon? Anyone out there done it? Thinks it's worthwhile? Travel Tips if i were you, id go for it, there are tons of italians in search of teachers and i admit, there are a lot of them around, but that shouldnt stop you from going. i live here in florence and sadly not many italians speak well the language, its something needed for those in search of real good english teachers. i have a friend of mine, italian that took some english courses and the teacher was this lady from new york, she was supposedly real real real good, the only thing was she charged 50 euros per hour per private lesson! a lot! but i guess she must be real real good, or else no one would pay that much for someone to teach that while there are thousands of other english teachers around. if i were you, id go, check it out, follow your 8 week course and begin to put adds all around florence (thats how people do it) or do it through some school or progam that you can represent and see how it goes. |
