What is a cheap and central place to stay in Florence? |
Travel Info I am planning a trip to Florence. Can someone tell me some cheap, good and centrally located places like bed n breakfasts to stay at? Also, how do I figure out which bus to take to places within the city and outside? Travel Tips For cheap accommodation in Florence you can check here: http://www.tuscanweb.com Florence is small town, centre you can explore by foot. Others well I could not find any cheap accommodation inside Florence and ended up staying in a campground (with cabins and trailers) about a 50mins bus ride from the central/train/bus station area...it ended up being quite good in the end as I met some american girls staying in a trailor for the same time I was ( we met while getting out there) and had some fun times drinking/ playing cards etc in my 3 days there. I just got a 24hour tourist bus ticket to see some of the "outer" sites but otherwise walked around as its not that big and all the main places are central (or as I said I got this tourist bus). I did a trip to Pisa and Lucca, but that is easy as you go from the main train station and its easy to find. I found Florence VERY busy...so busy its hard to walk on the footpaths they are heaving with people (although I was there near Easter)..its nice to get away at times, it is a beautiful city however. We stayed here. Walking distance to train station & main sites of Florence. Owner is very helpful. We plan to stay here again next time we go. It is a B&B. http://www.hotelaldobrandini.it/enindex.... I have stayed at Soggiorno Prestipino. An alternative would be to go to Venere.com, search on Florence, list by price, then read some reviews. |
