Any good restaurants (affordable and non touristy) in Florence? |
Travel Info Will be vacationing there end of June Thanx! ; ) Travel Tips Yes, lots. You just need to know where to go. In the center of town: For a quick lunch try Chiaroscuro on Via Corso. It's what Italians call a "hot table" where you choose your food sort of caffeteria style but it is a really classy coffee bar with great reasonable food. Also, in the summer try the Iced Cappuccino, it's a practically a desert. Another quick option is Il Mangiatoio on Via Romana at Piazza San Felice (on the Other side of the Arno near Piazza Pitti). It's what's called a rosticceria -- where they sell roasted meats and side dishes -- but is also a pizzeria and restaurant. My parents were here for a month and my mom loved this place coming back almost daily. If you are looking for real restaurants where you can eat well on a budget: Osteria dei Benci, Via dei Benci near Santa Croce Casalinga, near Piazza Santo Spirito ZaZa, near Piazza del Mercato in the San Lorenzo area There are many more but this should keep you well fed.
