I used to live in Frankfurt am Main for 16 years and from my experience it is the best to go on line and try the big car rental companies like Budget, Hertz, Avis. You can get a quote on line and sometimes they really run awesome specials. Almost all the companies have locations at the airport (to go there with either S 8 or S 9) as well as in the city center.
