Nobody in Germany cares whether you have a USA green-card or not. For getting a visa only your citizenship (passport) matters. All necessary information you will get from the official web site of the German Foreign Office:

There you will find out, if your country (which issued your passport) is on the list of countries not requiring to apply for a visa in advance.
