I'm going to Ireland next year for a week, staying in Galway, ANY suggestions? (entertainment, weather, culture, dining, anything).

Travel Tips

in addition to what lone wolf said, take the ferry out to the Aran Islands for a night - so beautiful. 1st time visitors have to go to the Cliffs of Mohr and O'Brien's tower, Kylemoor Abby isn't to far and gorgeous (I went to school there for a couple years!).

Go to some authetic Irish pubs and get a pint of Guiness.

Also, rent a car and enjoy the lush green country side and visit a few castles.
there are some great things to do in Galway, Eyre square is the main shopping centre and has lots of variety, from expensive stores to vintage/second hand retro stores...the people are truly wonderful and very welcoming...Salthill is nice to see too, but go in the summertime to really see the best of it, because like any seaside town, it is seasonal...try and get out of the city and get to the coast and you will see how beautiful Ireland really is....that is just a few ideas, but check out bord failte's website ( our tourist board) for more ideas..and enjoy your stay!!
