Questions for residents living in Ghana now? |
Travel Info I will be in Ghana longterm by this late summer. Am wondering, do they sell vehicles in Ghana like they do in the US...monthly payment plans? I want to buy a big old white LandRover(1965 to 1995 years) to cross the lagoons with in my travels. Travel Tips I've very limited knowledge when it comes to buying cars here but I should think that such a monthly payment plan should be available.All de best! Others Hi, I currently live in Ghana and have been here about 3-1/2 years. The Ghana car market is more cash and carry than monthly car payments. Used car dealers are the norm, and you can usually negotiate a good price. Some banks may consider financing a new car, but definately not an old one. Even car loans are fairly uncommon. Have you considered shipping a car? If you are travelling out of the Accra region, you'd definately need a 4 wheel drive vehicle, as most of the roads are rough. Good luck! Barb |
