Travel Info Im traveling to amman Jordan alone is there any concerns i should have? Travel Tips Hi...I'm Arab-Christian from Michigan and I just moved here from Amman, 2 years ago.The only concerns you should have are guys, staring at you. It's unreal how much they stare at females, especially foreign females. If you look Arab, you may be able to fit in. Also, taxi drivers can be quite scary...but if they say anything perverted to you or make you feel umcomfortable for any reason, just say you're going to call the cops (the number is 191 here, btw) and usually they'll stop or if you're by any police station which you'll see randomly in areas, you can be like stop me now and tell them or if you have him stop you and you're not by them, call 191 and take his license plate number. If you have any more questions or need someone to help you out while you're in Amman, just e-mail me and I'll for sure help you out as best as I can. Take care =) Others are you stupid? Just be on your guard. Beware of taking a taxi alone. Dont give out too much personal info, never tell anyone your there alone. The guys can be a little fresh. |
