As a precaution, only drink bottled water and eat hotel/fancy restaurant food. The water there is not as purified as you have here and the food standards for local restaurants are not as high as in USA; and you do not have the immune system for them. Be careful because thieves are worldwide and since you will have an accent to Nigerians, you may become a target for many thieves. Wear long clothes as night to reduce the chance of many mosquitoes biting you. Plus, do not forget to bring some malaria drugs (which you take with food and iron supplements) with you when you return. Malaria is common over there and treatable but death can occur if not treated.
