What's the climate in Namibia?

Hi, I'm leaving for Namibia on Thursday, and I had a question: does anyone know the climate there?

Online it says that June-July is their winter (which is probably a good thing). I looked up pictures of Namibia and most of the pics are of sand dunes. Is most of Namibia a desert?

I found this article which maybe you have not found, I know some people that have been there and they never mentioned the climate other than a dry heat. I hope this helps.

Gorgeous...dry heat. A bit like Arizona or New Mexico if you know the US southwest. It's also a bit like Egypt/Jordan.
