Travel Tips did you get a scam message that you're trying to reply by phone? i hope you didn't give any personal information of your to them and i hope you're not trusting their "tell no one of your winnings" because they know if you tell someone, the person will tell you it's a scam which they don't want. They want to scam you of your money which likely why they give false information like the phone code so that they're not tracked down. Even if you don't give personal information, once you reply to them, they can e-mail you viruses that can disrupt your computer or crash it all together, worse of all they can hack into your computer and and retrieving personal info which can late be used to scam you or create some sort of fraud if you're a market share holder,etc. Also if they know that your e-mail is active, they'll continue sending you more fraud messages. Which will like wise, ask for your personal info like phone number so they can contact you while giving you false info of theirs. The best thing to do when you get these messages, is to ignore them and delete them or report them to the spam folder to prevent any further actions that can later harm you. Usually you'll need a city-code too to call anywhere, but then, that's usually in the number itself (kind of like a zipcode). I'm not completely sure because I'm not very familiar with Benin, but I hope it'll help you? =P In some countries, especially those where there may not have been a huge land-line system, it's only the country code and then phone number. There's not a city code for Benin. You just dial your international access code +229+number. Have a friend living in Benin. |
