Travel Info What are your thoughts about Dafur's genocide in Sudan and will you support the Olympics? Travel Tips I don't support the Olympics after all it's just human entertainment while carelessly avoiding issues like the ones in Sudan. I was born there and here now in my community we are starting a youth group that can come up with ways to get the message across and find other ways to help as well. These issues aren't just going on in ( spelled and pronounced) Darfour but in the entire Sudan as a nation. There are other countries around the world as well but the Darfour one is now being a controversy because it had been ignored for so long. The entire country has had to endure a civil war with each other for decades now and this is the reason we are now displaced else where and every else in the world while the situation gets worse back home and we see less of our relatives there -dying of war, disease and famines. It's only now thanks to people like George Cloney that other people started taking interest in Africa. There's a lot going on every where like Iraq now that people tend to pay more attention to than the hunger, etc. going on in war torn nations and if it were not for organizations such as UN and other child charities as well as human rights activist and laws, a lot more would be happening than already is. Very sad world indeed. But the truth for most people is pretty much ignore such stifle conditions and situation and entertain ourselves to escape them. Very sad indeed. Remain blessed Source(s): me, sudan.net Other Travel Tips i think whats happening in dafur will be a stain on humanity as was the Holocaust, and as most of everyone is standing by idly while thousands upon thousands of innocent lives are being snuffed out i realize that the more things change the more they stay the same and we in the global sense have learned nothing,and it pains me to say that the Canadian government is doing very little if nothing to ease the suffering |
