Travel Info Arab city nicknamed bride of the desert in jordan is it jarash or petra? Travel Tips Palmyra in southern Syria (Tadmor is its Arabic name). One of the best places I visited in the Middle East. A great memory. Petra is the Rose City or Pink City; not sure if Jerash has a nickname. I used to live in Jordan and I can't recall a nickname. Others I thought it was Palmyra? Non of them. It's Palmyra or Tadmor (in Arabic). palmyra whose ruins are near the present town of tadmor I second what elf said, besides jerash aint in the desert! not all of jordan is desert! |
