What does one do in tansania/africa?

What type of fun activities are ther in africa/tanasina.
Arent there sharks there. I'm not sure if i want to g oswimming then. but whatabout the city can I go shopping or is it too dangerous?Waht about the weather there?
Please tell me everything you know about that place as I'm going there soon . How about food and so on what can i by how expenicive is it there?And what is the currency in euro?

Tanzania is a great place. there is Ngorongoro Crater and the Seregeti for all kinds of wildlife, lions, giraffes, leopards, rhinos, hippos etc... Mt. Kilamanjaro and great beaches on the coast. the best beaches are on Zanzibar as well as a facinating history and achitechture. there are sharks in the indian ocean but reef keep them away from the shore so it is absolutely safe to go swimming. As far as shopping in the cities, its fine, just be careful and dont be stupid and you should be fine. the weather is warm, hotter on the coast. Nothing is really expensive, but be sure you know the exchange rate or you could be ripped off. I don't really know euros but yahoo has a currency translator. they use Tanzanian Shillings (one US dollar = about 1,300 TSh) for food, be prepared to eat a lot of rice, ugali,maize and beans, etc... lots of seafood on the coast.. Tanzania is great and Zanzibar is amazing. Have Fun!!!
