Travel Info North Africa drives on the right, but Southern Africa drives on the left. Where and how does it change? Travel Tips I crossed the border by car between Uganda and Rwanda - Rwanda drives on the right and Uganda drives on the left. It just changed at the border crossing. Not really any special signs or anything telling you how it works. Generally the movement of vehicles over the border is pretty slow, so we had no problems, we just kind of went through a gate and then moved to the other side of the road! Others Interesting question! Maybe it changes at the point where all the cars are crashed up! Seriously though, do you mean "South Africa" (the country) or "Southern Africa"? I think this is a good question,. But isn't Gibraltar and Spain left and right? It's usually a holdover from the colonial era -- places that were part of the British empire, like Kenya, drive on that side of the road. |
