Travel Info I am going with my school and we will be helping to build a school an perhaps teachin/making things with the pupils. Travel Tips Carwashes, bake sales, and auctions (members of the class can all be auctioned off to do chores for people -- like raking leaves, cleaning house, etc.). You can also for local businesses to sponsor your trip by making a donation to cover cost of trip or building the school (or have them donate items that can be raffled off, and your class gets the proceeds from selling tickets). You can have a contest between different classes or different schools to earn the most money (my school did this and we were very competitive...often the most popular...) Local organisations like Elks, Rotary, Kiwanis, etc., might also be able to sponsor some of your travel/work -- they may make you come to speak about your efforts. Have your events advertised on the radio and local tv if you can. Maybe the local newspaper will also run story about what you're trying to do and that will also reach some people. Offer to show photos of your work when you return. The most important thing is to tell everyone what you are trying to do and that you're trying to earn money. Most people will want to support if they can...they just need to know. Others have an event, get a venue, somewhere nice hopefully, have food, people to entertain, and let everyone know that the event is for a fundraiser and ask for donations. my brain. car washes and bake sales Hi Issy, Well, I always love 50-50 raffles. You sell as many raffle tickets as you can, say each for 拢1 or whatever, and then depending on how many you sell, the winner gets half the proceeds with the other half going to the project.
