NIGERIA SCAM: What about my safety?

Thanks for all the responses, but what about the fact he has my address now, should I fear someone will show up at it, or any other family memebers homes? Has there been people who have ever been physically harmed once the guys realize you caught on to them and stop talking to them? When I type in my own name at people search It shows several of my previous addresses and family memebers names, should we all be wooried the rest of out lives someone may hurt us? I can gaurantee the police in my town will not do one thing to help me, so who else should I conntact about this because I will never sleep again because of my mistake. Will I ever really be safe now??

Don't worry, you are safe! He's in Nigeria, you're in the US -- he's not going to waste money flying over to confront you, or pay somebody to go by your house. Financially, it doesn't make sense for them to risk their own necks by threatening people... and if they did that to every person who realized they were scammers, they'd be very busy.

Just drop all contact with him, ignore all emails and phone calls; he will get the hint eventually and stop trying to get in touch.

The only way you'd be at risk was if you traveled to Nigeria to meet him, and you won't do that since you know he's a lying scammer :-) Source(s): http://www.internet-love-scams.org...

they're scam artists. they're probably moving on to someone else they can cheat. i doubt they're violent too.
