How to go from Airport to Lake Toba, where to stay?

I'm going to back-packed to Medan this June. Want to know what are the ways to get from airport to lake toba? Which is the recommendated way?

Still have yet to plan where to stay there..

Travel Tips
Take the airport taxi and go to the bus station name Marindal.
At the bus station take the bus heading to Parapat,it's the city at the shore of Lake Toba. The trip is around 4 hours.From here you can take the ferry
to the Samosir Island and it is cheaper to stay at the island rather than Parapat.
You are going to love it there.Have fun!
