Travel Info cambodia and brunei Travel Tips Indochina (Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia) was colonized by France. Malaysia, Singapore, Myanmar and Brunei by UK. Indonesia by the Netherlands. Timor Leste by the Portuguese. Philipines by Spain followed by the US. Thailand, therefore was the only country in South East Asia that had never been colonized by other country in the world.
