Anybody know what its like in Cambodia? |
Travel Info hows the people, place, lifestyle... ect Travel Tips The poverty in Cambodia is pretty striking at first. I think it was far worse than a lot of the other places in Asia Ive been. In spite of this, some of the cities are really lovely. Phnom Penn is very beautiful in some places (although you need to be careful when going out at night) On the whole, I found the Khmer people to be really friendly and helpful. Up north near the Laos border they are probably the friendliest, but even in the cities they generally seem willing to have a laugh and a chat to barang passing through. Source(s): Been there. Other Travel Tips If you want to see and not have to travel, go to San Jose, California, It's the same thing! I asked a friend from work recently of all the places he's traveled, he said the people of Cambodia were the nicest he's met. They are a poorer country, but they'll share what they have and expect nothing in return. He's been thruout Europe, Asia, and N. and S. America. |
