What can you tell me about Myanmar?

I've looked online, and read everything there, which isn't very much. Oppressive government, safe for tourists, low GDP, friendly people, neat temples etc. Tell me something I don't know, something interesting. I think I might move there for a couple years, but I can't find out anything online.
