In China people were killed because they shame the ancestors, which were thought of as "ghosts". If someone was behaving immorally, and bad events happened in the town..the ancestors were thought to have been offended by the persons action. If the person was killed "the witch" or the sinner, then the problems would end. so yes, it happens everywhere. |
