Where in Asia or Malaysia is the best place to go for good weather in September? |
Travel Info Want a good beach with not too much rain - realise it's difficult as it seems to be the wettest time to go. Travel Tips I would thoroughly recommend the coastal resort of Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia. There is a good touristic infrastructure with excellent opportunities for sightseeing. Bali, been there 2-3 times in Sept, not a single rainy day. Choose hotels in sanur for cheap and quiet beaches. Nusa Dua or Tanjung Benoa for 4-5 start hotel, quiet place, great beaches. Kuta/Seminyak for night life, cheap/medium hotels, beginner surfer and still great beaches. Taxi is reasonably cheap. I recommend Sipadan Island. Sipadan Island is located in the northeast of borneo. There is one of the world's famous dive destination. There are few attractive islands within sight of each island, especially Mabul and Kapalai. You may go to Tawau first, and take a bus/taxi to Semprona, then go by boat to Mabul, Kapalai, and Sipadan Island. You may take a stay at Mabul or Kapalai, but If you like to gain a different experience, I suggest you can try Kapalai with a resort built on stilts in the middle of the sea.
