I'm just curious.. Would you STILL visit Sri Lanka? |
Travel Info This question goes out to all those who are thinking of visiting Sri Lanka. There's no doubt that Sri Lanka is one of the most amazing countries in asia to visit. But I'd like to known that with the present situation with the war against the terrorists getting pretty bad in Sri Lanka, would you guys out there still visit Sri Lanka? Yes or No, I'd like to know why as well. Travel Tips not if i have to pay for it. if is free, why not? Others At the present time I would not travel there. Hopefully, in the future when it's safe I would like to check it out. Mainly going to foreign countries during this time makes me a bit apprehensive since the laws differ. If you decide to go know where your embassy is located and get shots if needed. Bottom line be careful, explore and come back to America. yes indeed Sri Lanka is a great place to visit. However with the current situation, it is really not the ideal to do visiting now. However, the way i look at it, anywhere and everywhere is just as dangerous. I mean, when the world was hit by the news of 9/11, the world change completely. then the bali attack x2. so if people are scare to visit this countries, it is totally understandable. But then again, you will never step out of your house ever~ Hey I would visit there , but I am afraid I have no money for it.. Please forgive me Yes it is still 'safe' for travel and the violence only happens in certain areas (and on occasions, in crowded areas). It pretty much depends on what you're looking for in the travel. If you are up for studies and such, there should be NO problem at all... Sri Lanka is not really a warzone/war-torn nation like Timor Leste or Sierra Leone and Somalia, you know? Not these days due to 1. LTTE terrorists have not taken a back seat yet 2. It is very HOT & HUMID there at this time of the year I suggest wait till winters NO |
