Travel Info Out of the two countries, which would you recommend for a holiday, Iran or Pakistan? Travel Tips Ive been to both places, but Id have to recomend Iran. Aside from what some of the armchair experts on here have to say, the people in Iran are actually very nice and are able to seperate a countries government from it's people (something some of you should work on). I really had the best time in Iran. The people there genuinely are more concerned with making sure that you enjoy your time there, and everywhere you go (especially in the smaller towns) you'll get people coming up to you to have a chat and ask questions about where you're from. If you're interested in shattering your illusions about a place, and knowing more about a country aside from what you've seen on the news, Iran is the place to go. The government regulations on visas can be a bit of a hassle though, but once you get past that, it's a great place. Source(s): Been there. Other Travel Tips I would have to go with Iran, but I'd probably skip both and go to Turkey instead. Iran - it's safer and has the world's best caviar. It has indeed many cultural attractions Don't miss Iran's Blue Mosque of Tabriz - not to be confused with the the Blue Mosque of Istanbul - rebuilt but exquisite and dating from 15th century. But the cultural attractions don't include, see below, the Hanging Gardens of Babylon. For those you'd need to slip a bit further south to a country whose name currently escapes me. Similar spelling, though. A matter, I think, of minding one's 'n' and 'q's. Both of those countries are very unstable and have frequent terrorist attacks. It is a BIG world. There are many other, much SAFER places to go. Please select a safer place to go on vacation. Not the best places for holidays. Especially not now. I've spent some years in Pakistan, there are much nicer and safer holiday destinations. India would I think be better right now. If I had to choose between the two I would choose Pakistan. Pakistan is one of the easiest or less strict of the Islamic countries. Neither, do you have a death wish? |
