What distance from Kuala lampur to Gentic highland? |
Travel Info Pleas let me know any cheaper hotel there below 30$ Travel Tips Genting Highlands is about 46km from Kuala Lumpur. There are a variety of ways to get there but your best (and cheapest) bet is to take the Express Bus from KL Sentral Station. From there you can take the cable car to the resort itself. From the below link: "Visitors to Genting - City of Entertainment can now board the Genting Express Bus from the KL Sentral Station to the Genting Skyway Lower Station and then enjoy a scenic Genting Skyway cable car ride all the way up to the resort. The express bus service runs on an hourly schedule between 0800 hour and 1900 hour from the KL Sentral Station. The one-way fare inclusive of a Genting Skyway ride is RM 8.30 per adult and RM 6.70 per child" Also, the First World Hotel charges very low rates since they want you to spend at the theme parks or the casinos. Check out their website, also below. Off peak prices are about US$30 for a standard rooms. Try not to go during Malaysian school holidays which are peak periods. 26 may - 10 June 2007 18 - 26 Aug 2007 17 Nov - 31 Dec 2007 Have a great time there! Other Travel Tips It takes roughly 90-120 minutes to get from KL to Genting by bus, slightly less by car. You can get rooms for as cheap as RM85 during low seasons, which means try not to go during Malaysian public and school holidays. http://www.genting.com.my/en/accommodati... You can get a bus from Wisma Genting in downtown KL near the Hotel Istana on Jalan Sultan Ismail. When I went, it took about 60 minutes on the bus. There are also busses that will take you to the base of the highlands and you can take a cable car up the rest of the way. Another option is to get a taxi. From downtown, you should be able to talk a cabbie in to going there for no more than 75 ringgit or about US$20-25. To make searching easier, it`s Kuala Lumpur and Genting Highlands... www.genting.com.my Depending on what you`re looking for, the Cameron Highlands might be a better bet... Genting is a bit of a tourist trap. Just an opinion. |
