Anyone know if mid-range hotels in Shanghai provide hair-dryer, towels and basic toiletries? |
Travel Info And how is the weather there at this time of the year? I'm visiting Shanghai next week and would like to travel light, but I can't do without a hair-dryer (very stubborn curls!!). Thanks! :) Travel Tips If you're speaking of a "mid-range" hotel as according to US travel sites, then yes - they're very well provided-for and will be happy to accommodate to your needs. Although, good luck with your curls this time of year - June is usually "plum rain" season, and it's weeks of heat, humidity and rain (all 3 at the same time!). If you're lucky, you might get 1, or 2 out of three... But it's still June, so temperatures won't go over 100 degrees like it usually does in July and August. All in all, enjoy yourself and don't be afraid to bargain to absolutely ridiculous prices! Check out Shanghaiist.com too, they're fantastic for the going-on's around town. Have fun!! Others Yes they have hair dryers. This time of the year is their rain season. Don't get fooled by rain season, it is still quite hot on non-rain days. |
