Do The Old White Men...?

Do the old white men who move to The Philippines or anywhere in South East Asia to get a younger woman ever feel pathetic or dirty knowing that in most cases these younger woman don't find them attractive but are only attracted to an easier life with money.

What i mean is these old white dudes must know that these girls arent with them because they think they are attractive or in love with them.

just always curious about that. personally i'd feel like i was pretty pathetic taking advantage of poor woman to make myself feel better. Just me maybe..

Thailand is (in my experience) a good example of what you're talking about. (Sorry to single out, but that's what I've seen) Old men running around with girls the age of their granddaughters. Some of them (the men) ugly enough to stop a clock dead.

Yes, there are for sure always "real" couples. People who differ in age etc.but who are happy, loving partners.

Unfortunately this kind of thing is not only limited to the older men. Many of the younger guys treat their girls not much better.

It's sad to generalize, but too often true.

Shame on all those Caucasian guys who are giving the rest of us a bad name. Some of us live her in Asia, don't come and mess around in our front yard.Active social mores and the Asian perspective on marriage are not what they are in Western cultures. Age is a sign of stability and size denotes wealth and health. While there are gold diggers in many Asian countries there are also good women who truly love their husbands. Tell me that the same thing doesn't happen in India or England or the US. You know it does. How is that different? Face it there are good people and bad people everywhere and you can't generalize in this way. The women in Asia are not slaves. They make decisions just like everyone else. Some good some bad. PS there are a lot of young white dudes over here as well. How do you lump them into your question?
I have friends that have loving wives and fine children. a little irritated at the attitude of this question!
My take on this question.

I'm Singaporean, married to a white British guy who's a fair bit older (18 years, 8 months and 9 days but hey, who's counting??!!). We've been together hmmm 18 years and we couldn't possibly be happier. We met when I was 23. We live in Malaysia (he's been in Asia for more than 20 years) and we're financially comfortable (not counting our pennies but certainly not rich either).

Oh ... I should mention that I don't need a British passport, thank you very much!! My Singapore one allows me to travel very easily and practically visa-free too. :D

Perhaps women in Thailand, Indonesia or Philippines might be with (quote/unquote) old white dudes for want of a better life but who are we to judge?
Obviously you have turned a blind eye to the goings on with a lot of the world's millionaires.

What gives you the right to judge them? Do I note a little bit of jealousy on your part?
