Any help on things to do, see, places to stay, travel tips wold be grate. And which route should I take to travel here from the UK..... around that time all tickets are quite expensive but found cheap ones to hong kong...

Travel Tips
All of SE Asia is great. Angkor Wat is something that you should not miss. I love the north of Thailand and have traveled extensively in the entire area. I have finally settled in a small Town in Vietnam. Its called Hoian. It is a world Heritage city and no new construction or even modifications are allowed. its like going back in time. The city is rated as one of the 25 best destinations in the world. The people are beautiful and nice. The beach is white sand for 40 k and everything is really inexpensive or cheap cheap cheap. Good Air con hotels for under 10 bucks. excellent food. good beach weather and many interesting places and adventures. I first came to Vietnam because a travel agent said I shouldn't miss it. I booked for a week, stayed for a month. I then wandered around the rest of S.E. Asia for a couple of months looking at everything and trying it all. I ended back in Hoian and bought a really nice house for $15000 US Cant beat it. I really love it here and don't intend to leave any time soon. Sooo. Check out HoiAn, Angkor wat. The beaches of Thailand. Look at Changmai in northern Thai. But don't miss Vietnam. You'll love it.

PS; You should be able to get good ticket prices into Bangkok. Once there you can fly Air Asia, its really cheap but careful of baggage overages. They really sting you and thats how they make their money. Book all your Air Asia flights on the net. We are talking really cheap here!! Source(s): BTDT live here now and after all... Myanmar is extremely dangerous (the political violence as well as wild animals). I would strongly recommend Thailand instead.
I was robbed in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia when I visited that country 8 years ago. Myanmar is in a military junta at this time. I guess you need to check your options.

My suggestions would be ... Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnanam or Philippines, Korea and Japan. When you travel from Dec 25 onwards, most of the ticket prices has gone down. So if youre travelling towards the end of December, don't go from first week of December 'til December 24th.

just be careful about your belongings and make extra allowance to get rest for sometime..fatigue could lead to worst..and have first aid kit with you just incase.
make copies of your passport or any importand documents and leave it to the place you stay if you are going out.
