Summer holiday in hongkong/china/taiwan? |
Travel Info I'm planning for a trip in end Jul, early Aug to Hong Kong for summer shopping. I hope to avoid crowds from people esp those who having summer holiday from around the region. Can someone pls advise ? Travel Tips Hong Kong has it's "Island Wide" sale during that time so it is a great time to shop, but not the best to avoid crowds. All the students are on holiday during that time and families all tend to travel and there is a big influx of foreign tourists, which there really won't be any way to avoid. Have fun tho and happy shopping! Others There will be crowds at Disneyland (like you said, it's summer). But the crowds in shopping places are not that much. The locals also have their own vacations to go to, outside of Hong Kong. It is a very good time to shop, everything's on SALE!!! Specially the shops in Tsim Tsa Tsui. Stores give huge discounts. And in the Night Market and Ladies Market, don't forget to bargain, bargain and ask for discounts. Enjoy! |
