Probably - just go to money changer and ask for Rupiah ;)
but in case they don't have any Rupiah - US dollar would be more easy
I am sure you can at any Forex, however, why pay 10 to 15% premium when you can exchange in Indonesia and get a better rate.

Yes but best to do it at a reputable travel agents such as Thomas Cook (UK)

Or at the airport but this is usually dearer.
Thomas Cook may have small amounts of Rupiahs in stock or try The Post Office (three days notice)
But it is worth waiting 'till you arrive in Indonesia you will get a much better exchange rate but watch the money changers you may well obtain a better rate but beware of being short changed. Banks do offer a good exchange rate in Indonesia.
