Travel Info Samoa.. what's the weather like in july? also, how expensive is it? Travel Tips I went to Samoa in Febuary on a surfing trip. We stayed on Upolu, the other side of the island to Apia in a surf camp called Maninoa Surf Camp ( not too sure on the spelling) . it was about $40 NZ dollars per night and you also got a boat trip included out to the reef each day. Coconuts and Sinalei island resort were either side of our camp. They were both nice, (if you have some serious cash to burn). We just went over each night for a drink and massages etc. Otherwise the surf camp is a good option and is a good place to meet other surfers if you're into that sort of thing. The weather in July will be pretty good. It is winter, but the temperature stays at a fairly constant level all year round. It shouldn't be too wet because the rainy season is over. Just read your original question and this hasn't really answered it sorry! But we found Samoa to be pretty cheap, its one of only a few places in the world where the New Zealand dollar converts to give you more in the foreign currency!
