What currency should I take to Hong Kong and Singapore? Also where is cheapest and best to buy a camera? |

HK is a great place to shop but know your prices from on line and don't let them change your mind into another model that you don't no the price or quality of. Also. After making the deal on the camera they will hustle you for all the extra batterys and Data storage disks, cables and lenses. be sure to know the cost of these things in advance as well. If your taking cash with you, then just exhange it at a bank or airport, where ever gives you the best rate. If you want to buy anything that has to do with electronics, you can't go wrong in Hong Kong! They have the best electronics there for the cheapest prices! Good Luck! Been to both countries. I never bother taking Cash and just use Credit cards and ATM to get cash once I arrive. To be honest unless you can make a comparison on prices before you go, then it is probably better to get a camera online here. Otherwise probably Hong Kong, but you do need to know, both where to go shopping, but also exactly what you want, and exactly how much you would pay for the same camera in the UK. I have brought 2 camera's in Singapore, neither were substantially cheaper than they would have been here. I think they were both from Simlim tower.
