Anyone Ever Take A Mongolian Vacation?

Travel Info
I've wanted to take a 9 or so day guided horseback trip through Mongolia for a few years. I can't decide if I should take the mountain, high plains/plateaus, or the open prairie/grassland tour. All of them look nice as far as scenery goes. I know it's a long shot, but has anyone here ever taken a trip over there?

Travel Tips
I have but I was on the Mongolian branch on the Trans-Siberian Railway, travelling from Moscow to Beijing via Ulaan Baatar. The scenery is wonderful. Although I stopped for a few days in U-B, I didn't get too far out into the countryside as I just went out on a day trip.

Nine days is quite long time but specialist agents such as Sundowners and Wild Frontiers might be able to help you arrange such a trip.

You might want to also ask on the Thorn Tree section on Lonely Planet's website to see if anyone has done a similar trip / has any recommendations. .

I hope you get there - it's a lovely country and the people are very friendly.
