Diego Garcia is the location of a U.S. Naval base. It cannot be visited unless you are on orders from NATO or the U.S. There are no restaurants, hotels, etc. When I was in the U.S. Navy years ago, I was threatened with being assigned there. Luckily, I behaved, and was spared being sentenced to the island. |
