Traveling to Japan, China, S. Korea, and Vietnam Summer 2008? |
Travel Info Me and a group of friends are planning to travel to Japan, China, S. Korea, and Vietnam after we graduate but the only way our parents will let us go is if we go on a tour. We want to travel as independently and inexpensively as possible. Can anyone help? Travel Tips Your parents are right, it is safe and cheaper that way, and even the travel agency would suggest all of you to travel by group tour because you would make a better deal. If you want to travel independently and inexpensively, saving enough money before the year would be another option. Others Ayeeeeeh! your parents must be millionaires to afford the airfares alone! I am guessing that you are in high school, Aren't any of your classmates from those countries? The safest way to travel Asia is under the care and protection of friends and family. Ask your Asian classmates if they can help you out. Make sure you research the countries you will visit beforehand. Give the proper gift and don't be an "ugly American". Bon Voyage! I can only speak about Japan, but the cheapest way to stay in this country for a vacation is to use the extensive Youth hostel system. These usually have an upper age limit between 25 and 29, but some are as cheap as thirty or forty dollars US a night. That's less than half what you would usually pay for a regular hotel. Only down side? They generally have curfews between 10:00 and 11:00 at night. Pay attention to the following websites. You can get more information about China. And later on, they will have the hotel booking and travel information. It will do some help to your individual tour. http://www.chinaguide2008.com/ http://www.beijingexpert.com/ |
