I'm planning on a trip to Sabah and will spent about 9 days there, any interesting places i can visit there? |
Travel Info Climbing mount kk is my 1st priority, any tips for the mountain climbing? I heard there are plenty islands to visit at sabah, any island that i can visit & stay a day or two which is nearby Kota Kinabalu? Any places or things what i shouldnt miss out during my trip there? Travel Tips you are going to have an amazing time, its so beautiful and there is so much to see here are a few more interesting places for u to visit in sabah 禄 Mabul Island - Semporna禄 Tanjung Aru Beach - Kota Kinabalu (Capital City) 禄 Maliau Basin (Sabah's Lost World) - Tawau禄 Sipadan Island - Semporna 禄 Mesilau - Kundasang禄 Gaya Street (Sunday Market) - Kota Kinabalu (Capital City) 禄 Tanjung Simpang Mengayau - The Tip of Borneo - Kudat禄 Sepilok Orang Utan Sanctuary - Sandakan Others Your priority is correct... you are haven't been to Sabah if you haven't climbed Mount Kinabalu... just pack light, enjoy the whole journey and the view... don't forget to book the room at the rest house up there, it tends to be busy... In Kota Kinabalu, there are 5 islands close to each other... you can do island hopping (they have full facilities of water sport there) or spend the night in some of the island... ask the marina staff which island is best for specific activities you want to do... Wild water rafting at Cadas River is FUNtastic... If you love diving, you have to go to Sipadan Island... very small island (only 20 minute walk around the island), but the variety of marine life is unbelievable... if you don't dive, snorkelling is enough to experience what the sea has to offer... Sepilok Orang Utan Sanctuary is also worth a visit... Enjoy your trip! trekking and island hopping is one thing but i would imagine the sole purpose for visiting such a place is for the under water life; diving is great in sabah, on all the islands described in previous answers (the 5 islands off KK); if you are a diver then you sipidan is one of the greatest dive spots in borneo... if you are not a diver and have 2-3 days to get your SCUBA license, it would be well worth it!!! oohhh u r soooooooooo cute sempan mabul |
