From Phnom Penh(Cambodia) to Kep?

I'm planning a trip to Phnom Penh, Cambodia on September 07, reaching there Sunday and leaving at Wednesday 1700. I've checked that most of the attractions are closed on Monday, therefore I'm wondering if going Kep on that day is a correct choice. If time is not sufficient to wander around Kep, we can stay overnight, and go back PP on Tuesday. Will 2 days be sufficient for Phnom Penh city? What's bothering me is the distance from PP to Kep.

Excuse me but you realize don't you that pretty much the only things to see in Phnom Penh are the Killing fields, the torture museum and the historical museum. You might have more fun in Siem Reap seeing Ankor Wat and three days there would cover the wats you can see stuff like in the movie tomb raider. keep your purse close in phnom penh and take a friend. Don't fall for the beggers with amputee limbs. They practically got a union.
2 days would not be sufficient, just make allowance for any conditions or situations that might came forward, like bad weather or health issue. I travel and the worst thing that I planned for the day, didn't happen because of these things. If it turned out well on your schedule, then you are on track. If you doubt it won't be nice to be there on Monday, and can change the booking, do it if..you pay to enjoy your visit. Distance is always an issue, but you still have months to check around the distances and ways of commuting.
