What do they call Taiwan in China?

I know that calling Taiwan 'the Republic of China' or even 'Free China' in mainland China would be seriously frowned on. So what do they call the country? Taiwan? Or do they call it 'the island of Formosa' as I heard somewhere.

They call it Taiwan just like they would call Hong Kong, Hong Kong. The only thing most of them will disagree about is that Taiwan is a country.

its basically its own nation but on paper its still part of the country, the English word for that is Texas.
