Why all the sudden all the ban on food and merchandise produced in China? |
Travel Info Why just recently we are finding out that some Fish is banned, toothpaste, toys, tires etc....Is this a political issue? Why just now? Travel Tips Actually, people in Hong Kong, China, Taiwan and other Asian countries have known this for a long time. It's only when the US media took up the story, that suddenly this is a "global matter". The fact is, people die everyday in China due to consumption of some poisonous contaminated food or another. Just that they're covered up by the Chinese government. China, with all it's economic growth potential, is still plaqued by 3rd world country mentality, with widespread corruption and people who have no moral considerations for others just to earn a quick buck. This willnot change for the foreseeable future no matter how rich the country may become. I will never buy anything from China that could possibly affect my health (foods/medicines/toothpaste...... or safety (car tires...etc). I recommend that you do the same too. Others I know that recently there was a problem with pet food because rat poison was used to "fill" the wheat used. I wonder if that got into other things. But probably some political issue. I can only answer on the toothpaste issue, unfortunately :) Recently I read about the toxicity of a brand of toothpaste being produced and sold in China. This was discovered not too long ago... http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/asia-pacific/... BBC News Online they are also getting ready to lift the ban on apples being sent over from china..and if they do it will kill thousands of our local apple farmers farms and families......buy local and american and you wont have to worry...some say they are trying to poisen us slowly..i am starting to beive it yes Have you heard about child labor in China? I personally don't support child labor and I myself, temporarily stop buying China made ... and Malaysia made for personal reasons. |
