I would like to know is that korean and japanese always bow their head to elder, their boss always? |
Travel Info i watched korean and japanese movies then i notice they always bow to elder, their boss at work or even public also,so is it just in the movie or in real life too?because i remember before chinese and vietnamese used to do that also but now only few do that in modern day, younger generation they forgot or soemthing!so please response, thanx a lot!!!!!! Travel Tips Japan, yes, they still do.. not only in the company, even in their own house when guests come/shopping mall to greet costumers/ etc... hotels/ business location/ etc Korea...I have been with Koreans but I didn't notice they do bow their heads... Others They do it in real life. It is a sign of respect in their culture. I'm not 100% sure but I'm guessing it's like bowing to them like making yourself lower than them to show respect? Asian bowing is a way of what everyone has grown to do, shaking hands. Now days with all the nastyness I'd rather bow than shake hands. Recapitulating previous postings....sign of respect as well as an analog to shaking hands in western society. They do that to show respect to the other person. |
