Land mines in Kampong Cham?

I am going on a mission trip to Cambodia in July and have some safety concerns. Are there many land mines in Kampong Cham? We are going to be conducting a medical clinic in three "churches" and a school about 30 minutes outlying Kampong Cham (the city). I would also like to know, is the ground transportation going to be safe?
