Other Travel Tips i would say fly You can't get here from there. you can fly from an airport here to there transport yourself to the pacific ocean, dive in and swim like theres no tommorow. if you swim, please be aware of the creatures that lurk beneath Most US air routes change planes in LAX or Honolulu. When I went, a few years back, there was a Tahaitian law about jumbo jets landing in daylight hours, (the island is small and jets cause much disturbance), so all of my options landed me in Papeete around 2:00am.I stayed there a few days and then took a small, puddle-jumper over to Moorea, which was also accessible by boat, but I am not a boat person. In retrospect, the plane was scary and I would go boat next time. |
